Christopher Zain Dyal, age 15, of Baxley, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
Zain was born August 8, 2008 in Douglas, Georgia. He was a student at the Appling County High School where he was a member of the Pirate Brigade. He was a member of Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Cliff & Janice Hardee; and paternal grandfather, Eddie Dyal.
Survivors include his mother, Nicole Hardee; father, Joshua Dyal; brothers, Maverick Travis, Lawton Shuman, Dalton Dyal, and Sawyer Hardee; uncle, Nick (Lori) Hardee; aunt, Jessie (Dillon) Bass; great-aunts, Jody (Mike) McDaniel and Joan (David) Cundy; great-uncles, Gary (Paulette) Hardee, Johnny (Elinor) Sellers; and cousins, Jackson Hardee, Annabeth Hardee, Nathan Hardee, Lane Bass, Jerri-Ann (Clay) Rowell, Ryker (Mattie) McDaniel, Joann Hardee and Allie Bryant and Acy Bryant.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Sapp, Rev. Tony Forehand, Jonathan Hickox, and John Pearson officiating.
Interment will follow in Melton’s Chapel Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ryker McDaniel, Clay Rowell, Sheldon Shuman, Adam Gruber, Mickey Craven and Hunter Youmans.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Appling County High School Band, Southeast Jiu-Jitsu, and the Ten Mile Youth Group.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
