Amanda "Mandy" (Higgins) Simmons

Amanda “Mandy” Higgins Simmons, age 51, of Baxley died Thursday, March 24, 2022 at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross.

Mrs. Simmons was born March 5, 1971 in Appling County and was a homemaker.  She was a member of Baxley Free Will Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her father, Robert Lee Higgins.

Survivors include her husband, Ricky Simmons of Baxley; a daughter & son-in-law, Masie & Travis Crosby of Baxley; son, Mason Simmons of Baxley; mother, Dot Higgins of Baxley; sisters & brothers-in-law, Angie & Farris Dyal of Baxley and Kristin & Jarred Stevens of Douglas; brothers & a sister-in-law, Odell & Brenda Higgins, Stacy Higgins, Allen Higgins all of Baxley; and two grandchildren, Jasie Crosby and Jayleigh Crosby.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Caleb Folsom officiating.

Interment will follow in Zoar Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jared Spell, Lloyd Potter, Michael Manning, Michael Higgins, Jarred Stevens and Brent Higgins.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
