Angelina “Gina” de la Mora, age 38, of Baxley died Wednesday, March 3, 2021 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Gina was born June 14, 1982 in Appling County and was the office manager at County Farm Plant Company. She attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Gina was a mentor, nurse, interpreter, friend, mom, and counselor to many. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Jose G. Nunez and uncle, William J. Vance.
Survivors include her husband, Daniel de la Mora; daughter, Sophia de la Mora; son, Daniel E. de la Mora; parents James Sr. & Maria “Tita” Cook; sister, Norma Amanda Cook; brothers & sister-in-law, James Jr. & Rachael Cook and Chris Cook; grandmothers, Maria D. Nunez and Sharon Sortwell; uncles and aunts, Roger (Rosario) Cook, Pablena Andrews, Norma (Juan) Cortes, and Maria (Pedro) Chavez; parents-in-law, Serafin & Maria de la Mora; sister-in-law, Lucy (Adolfo) Ortega; brothers-in-law, Rene (Juanita) de la Mora and Luis M. (Cheley) de la Mora.
A private graveside service will be held at Omega Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Sunday, March 7, 2021 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.
Active pallbearers will be James Cook, Jr., Chris Cook, Luis Miguel de la Mora, Rene de la Mora, Adolfo Ortega, and Jose Luis Santos.
Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of County Farm Plant Company, Circle F Farms, and Woody Folsom Automotive Group, and the de la Mora Valdez Family, the Segura Family, and the Roberson Family.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
