Billy Milo Creamer

Billy Milo Creamer, age 87, of Hazlehurst, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026, at his residence.

Mr. Creamer was born February 2, 1939, in Hazlehurst to the late Calvin Creamer and the late Maudie Jeffcoat Wood. He was a retired mechanic of 42 years with Hazlehurst Mills and a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of Eureka Baptist Church, a state champion coon hunter, and enjoyed handmade boat racing. He was known as “The Peanut Man” for selling boiled peanuts, and he also loved camping and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Lillian Wright Creamer of Hazlehurst; daughters, Marie Buchans and Gail (Jimbo) Davis; son, Michael (Cari) Creamer all of Hazlehurst; sisters, Carolyn Towns of Waycross, Michelle Herndon of Waycross, Lillian Simmons of Baxley, and Vicky Carroll of Lake City, FL; brothers, Roger Creamer of Lake City, FL, and Bo Creamer of Lake City, FL; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive.

A graveside service will be held at Eureka Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, May 6 at 10:00 am with military honors. Rev. Michael Creamer will officiate.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Swain Funeral Home Hazlehurst Chapel.
