Boyd Earl Carter

Boyd Earl Carter, age 69, of Baxley passed away Friday, June 19, 2026 at his residence.

Earl was born March 30, 1957 in Appling County. He worked as carpenter in the construction industry for A1 Construction. Earl loved fishing and was an avid sports enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Williams Carter.

Survivors include his sons, Jason (Christy) Carter of Baxley, Darby Carter of Jesup, and Matthew L. Carter of Baxley; father, Wendell Carter of Baxley, sisters, Kay (Roy) Williamson of Baxley and Rita Faye Carter of Baxley; brother Joel (Samantha) Carter of Baxley; and dear friend, Patsy Baxley of Baxley. Grandchildren, Jaycie Paige Carter and Braxton Gage “Brax” Carter and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 10:00AM at Carter Cemetery with Rev. Rick Brown officiating.

Active Pallbearers will be Brax Carter, Edwin Spell, Justin Williamson, Jody Jacobs, Jasper Jacobs, and Grayson Carter.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
