Candler Folsom

Lewis Patrick Candler Folsom, age 28, of Baxley passed away on Friday, August 7, 2026 from injuries sustained in an accident.

Candler was born on December 17, 1997, in Brunswick, Georgia. At the age of 19, he began his own business, Candler Folsom Logging, and operated it for seven years. After Hurricane Helene left destruction in his beloved community, Candler ventured into a new endeavor in an initial effort to lend a helping hand to his friends and family. As CAT 5, LLC, Candler continued his passion in tree removal, land clearing and development & construction work.

Candler was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Beverly Lewis; his paternal grandparents, Harold and Hannah Folsom; and his aunt, Jan Folsom.

He is survived by his mother, Paige Lewis Folsom of Baxley; his father, Bobby (Pandy) Folsom of Glennville; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his beloved dog, Crue.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Baxley First Church with Rev. Rick Brown officiating and eulogies by Ronnie Brannen and Mason Parker. Musical selections will be rendered by his dear friends, Will Moseley & Benji Taylor. Interment will follow in Omega Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Cody Folsom, Cody Thornton, Brandon Murray, Shane Mobley, Jake Britt, Dillon Edenfield, Jacob Johnson, Brett Myers, Brody Williams and Wyatt Wright.

Honorary pallbearers will be Zach Gay, Wren Johnson, Ronnie Aaron White, Bryce Cook, Chris Aycock, Lindsey Ahl, Claudia Post, Lisa Mann, Blake Powell, Walker Blythe, Allen Browning, Wilson Keene, Nick Carter, Christopher Eason, Jason Dhaliwal, Trevor Clements, Alee Shriners, Paul Stokes, Barnett Taylor, Cody Forte, Cody Durham, Bruce Musgrove, Beau Grayson Peacock, Caden Folsom, Brennan Presley, Ben Presley, Blake Berry, Tanner Middleton, Tanner Folsom, Chase Brannen, Nathan Rogers, Blake Perry, Ollie Floyd, Trey Brannen, Ryan Creamer, Will Shumans, Andrew “Tume” Lewis, and all friends in attendance.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.

The family will be gathering and receiving friends at the CAT 5 Shop.
