Carl Brandon Dubberly

Brandon Dubberly, age 50, of Baxley, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from injuries sustained in a motocross accident.

Born on May 17, 1975, in Savannah, Georgia, Brandon lived a life marked by faith, laughter, and deep devotion to his family. He was known for his radiant smile, his hilarious sense of humor, his contagious laugh that could light up any room, and of course his infamous dance moves. Above all, he was a Godly man who strived to live out his faith in how he loved, worked, and cared for others.

Brandon was first and foremost a devoted husband to his wife, Shelli Dubberly. He treasured her, spoiled her, and made it his mission to show her how deeply she was loved every single day. Together, they built a marriage rooted in faith, laughter, and unwavering love.

As a father, Brandon was the rock and encourager of his daughters, Darienne C. (Sebastion) Sisu of Statesboro, Bryn Coleman of Augusta, and Jaden Dubberly of Baxley. He poured himself into their lives, guiding them with love, supporting them with pride, and making sure they always knew how precious they were to him. Brandon also deeply loved his son-in-law, Sebastion, and cherished him as if he were his own son.

Becoming “Papa” was one of Brandon’s greatest joys. His granddaughter, Evelyn “Evie” Sisu, brought him happiness beyond measure. Though their time together was brief, Brandon’s love for her was boundless, and his family takes comfort in knowing he is now reunited in Heaven with his grandson, Hudson “Huddle Hud” Sisu.

Brandon deeply admired the leadership of his father, Rev. Paul Dubberly, and the way both his mom, Donna, and dad instilled in him the importance of putting God first in all things. He also treasured his siblings, Greg (Mary) Dubberly of Hickory, NC, Andrew (Shannon) Dubberly of Jesup, and Jessica (Jonathan) Carver of Baxley. As a brother, Brandon was protective, loyal, and full of laughter – always ready to encourage, tease, or step in when he was needed. He especially adored his nieces and nephews, who looked up to him with love and admiration. To them he was not just “Uncle Brandon,” or “Uncle B,” but a source of joy, humor, and comfort. He was always quick with a hug, a joke, or a playful tease that left everyone smiling, and his presence in their lives will be cherished forever.

Those who knew Brandon will remember him as forgiving and honest to a fault. He was playful and goofy, yet also strong, reliable, and deeply dependable. Brandon was respected by everyone who knew him and fiercely loyal to his family, his friends, and his faith. He loved to make people laugh, often with a silly grin or a perfectly timed joke, and he carried a stubborn streak that made him both determined and unwavering in his devotion. His character was a rare blend of humor, strength, loyalty, and humility – the kind of man who could be counted on no matter the circumstance.

Brandon dedicated his career to Down 2 Earth Trailers as Parts & Service Manager, where he was respected not only for his knowledge and work ethic but also for his loyalty and good humor. His coworkers knew him as someone who they could depend on, whether they needed advice, encouragement, or simply a laugh on a hard day. The customers he dealt with would find him to be a friend to them in many cases and not just a number. He impacted everyone he came in contact with in such a positive way.

A funeral service to celebrate Brandon’s life will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Christ Community Church, with Rev. Calvin Morris and Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Greg Dubberly, Andrew Dubberly, Jonathan Carver, Sebastian Sisu, Keith Johnson, and Lance Hendrix.

Honorary pallbearers include Casey Cole, Brad Turner, Jacob Dubberly, Carson Dubberly, Nicholas Dubberly, Brad Carter, Jeremy Johnson, Ryan Hunley, Travis Daniels, Clay Deen, Randy Clotfelter, Shaun Summerall, Sham Highsmith, John Paul Ewaldsen, Colin Campbell, Mark (IYKYK), the employees of Down 2 Earth Trailers, and all of Brandon’s many friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home, giving family and friends the opportunity to share memories and celebrate the life of a man whose love, humor, and faith touched so many.

Brandon’s legacy is one of devotion – as a husband who adored Shelli, a father who loved his girls beyond measure, a papa who looked forward to every moment with Evie, and a son, brother, uncle, and friend who poured love and loyalty into everyone he cared for. His faith and love were rooted in the values his parents taught him – to put God first, to trust God – and he lived those truths out in the way he cared for his own family. His smile, his contagious laugh, and his steadfast love will be carried in the hearts of all who knew him.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” (John 14:27)
