Daniel Elijah Calderon

Daniel Elijah Calderon, age 20, of Hazlehurst passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at his residence.

Danny was born December 7, 2005, in Waycross and was a graduate of Jeff Davis County High School in 2024. He dearly loved his family and friends. Danny enjoyed his truck and was an avid soccer player and fan. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Jessica Jasmin, Andrade Calderon, his paternal grandfather, Daniel Calderon Molina, and his maternal grandfather, Juan Cruz Gaytan.

Survivors include his parents, Gloria G. Calderon and Daniel Calderon of Hazlehurst; sister, Genesis of Hazlehurst; brothers, David Calderon and Alex Calderon both of Hazlehurst; maternal grandmother, Gloria S. Gayton, and paternal grandmother, Rosa Gonzalez.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 27, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst with Rev. Brad Waters and Rev. Phillip Worthington officiating. Interment will follow in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Daniel Calderon, David Calderon, Alex Calderon, Manny Porras, Kevin Rodriguez, Irvin Trejo, Anjel D. Calderon, Eric D. Calderon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Erik, Jessica, Yajairo, Ecner, Edgar, Julie, Lucero, & Dulce Calderon, Belynda Gonzalez, Pedro & Ruby Perez, Josue & Jennifer Ratliff, Blaine & Cruz Cason.

Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 6-8pm, at Swain Funeral Home, Hazlehurst Chapel (357 Baxley Hwy. Hazlehurst, Georgia).

Arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
