David Eric Hughes

David Eric Hughes, age 43, of Hazlehurst passed away Monday, July 8, 2024 in Bacon County from injuries sustained in an accident.

Eric was born December 6, 1980 in Jeff Davis County to David Crocket Hughes and Delynn Tanner Hughes. He was a heavy equipment operator and was preceded in death by his sister, Dana Beecher.

He is survived by two sons, Davin Hughes of Dublin and Aaron Allred of McRae; three sisters, Debbie King of Baxley, Melissa Rentz of Graham, and Christy Whitley of Hazlehurst; four brothers, Rodney Parlor, Johnathan Mullis, Derek Hughes, and Devin Hughes all of Hazlehurst; and one grandchild. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, & nephews also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Wilcox officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
