Delvis Lightsey
April 8, 1929 — February 20, 2016
Delvis Lightsey, age 86, of Odum, GA died Saturday, February 20, 2016.
Mr. Lightsey was born April 8, 1929 in Appling County to the late George Lightsey and the late Minnie Lightsey. He was a member of Christian Springs Church of God, a Sunday School Superintendant and a farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife Pauline Lightsey.
Mr. Lightsey is survived by five daughters; Betty Helderlein of Baxley, Colene Griffis of Odum, Virginia Roach of Odum, Catherine Hutto of Jesup, and Sandra Nail of Odum, one brother; Durell Lightsey of Odum, eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 22, 2016 at 3:00 PM from Swain Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Rentz officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, February 22, 2016 from 2:00-3:00 PM from Swain Funeral Home Chapel.
Active pallbearers are Lewis Nail, Chris Nail, Damian Nail, Kelby Delvis Nail, Michael Hutto and Matt Hutto.
Interment will be at Memorial Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
