Eloise Crosby Bullard

Eloise Crosby Bullard, age 97, of Baxley passed away Thursday, October 29, 2026 at The Pavilion under the care of Comfort Care Hospice.

Ms. Bullard was born July 9, 1929 in Appling County to the late Lawton Monroe Crosby and the late Luna Stone Crosby. She was employed at Eros in Hazlehurst before making a twenty-year career with the United States Postal Service in Baxley as a rural route letter carrier. She was a member of Consolation Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin B. Bullard, and brothers, Basil J. Crosby, Monroe Crosby, and G. C. Crosby.

Survivors include her son, Lawton Bullard of Baxley, special friend, Betty Jean Simpson, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Consolation Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Rick Brown and Rev. Stan Taylor will officiate, and interment will follow in Grahm United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Stan Deen, Mark Peacock, Mickey Crosby, Levi Hale, Charles Stone, and Hunter Tomberlin.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Comfort Care Hospice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
