George Arthur "Bear" Nash, Jr., age 58, of Uvalda died Saturday, October 31, 2015 at his residence.
Mr. Nash was born January 17, 1957 in Baxley. He was an avid chicken farmer and was a self-employed carpenter. He was preceded in death by his father, George A. Nash, Sr.
Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, George A. Nash, III and Jerri of Nahunta; step-children, Jason (Sara) Crosby and Brandi Crosby all of Cedar Crossing; his mother, Carolyn Polk of Baxley; sisters, Martha Nash Christopoulo of Aiken, SC and Debra Nash Hand of Baxley; brother, Donnie Nash, Sr. of Reidsville; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Melvin Kramer officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, 5-6 p.m., at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
