Jason Randall Gruber, age 52, of Baxley passed away Monday, June 29, 2026 at Bacon County Hospital.
Jason was born on October 30, 1973, in Appling County. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps before building a career as a skilled welder, fabricator, and machinist. Blessed with a God-given talent for welding, Jason took great pride in his work and was known for his strong work ethic and exceptional craftsmanship.
Outside of work, Jason enjoyed fishing, riding four-wheelers, spending time at the river, and playing his guitar. He was also a gifted artist who loved drawing, sketching, and tattooing, always finding creative ways to express himself.
Jason had a remarkable sense of humor, a smile that could light up a room, and a warm personality that made everyone feel welcome. He never met a stranger and was a loyal, devoted friend to so many. His kindness, generosity, and unforgettable spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willie & Nellie Johnson and paternal grandparents, Randall Gruber & Mavis Pearce Gruber.
Survivors include his daughters, Madison Gruber and Madeline Gruber both of Baxley; parents, Jerry & Diane Gruber of Baxley; sister, Shana (David) Hutto of Lyons; a grandson, Ky’Aire Russell of Baxley; and two nephews, Pearce Hutto and Luke Hutto also survive.
