Joyce Lynette Byrd

Joyce Lynette Byrd, age 67, of Hazlehurst passed away Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Bacon County Hospital under the care of Comfort Care Hospice.

Mrs. Byrd was born on December 9, 1958 in Appling County to the late I. L. Roddenberry and the late Evelyn Stone Roddenberry. She was a homemaker and a member of Redeemer’s Christian Fellowship. Mrs. Byrd was a mother to all; a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed flowers.

Survivors include her daughters, Amy (Donnie) Lasseter, Lori (Michael) Hardwick, and Trish Harris; son, Michael (Christy) Byrd; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Redeemer’s Christian Fellowship with Rev. Mitch Jones and Rev. Justin McLellan officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family will assemble at 11185 Zoar Road, Hazlehurst, GA 31539.
