Karen Dell Sharpe, age 74, passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Appling Healthcare.
Mrs. Sharpe was born October 16, 1949 in Hahira, Georgia to Bill & Willene Lewis Dell. She was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church and was a former group leader at the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Toney Jerome Sharpe and two sisters, Carolyn Sharpe and Dianne Ansley.
Survivors include her children, Pam Sharpe and Jamie (Brandi) Sharpe; sisters, Susan (Jeffery) Turner and Connie (Tony) Arnold; grandchildren, Kristin (Cody) Clifton, Bri Anna (Dylan) Treat, Taylor (Skyler) Sharpe, Jaylie Clance, Bree Clance (Victor), Asher Sharpe, and Addilyn Sharpe; and great grandchildren, Gavyn Treat, Braylee Sharpe, Jack Clifton, Jasper Clifton, Kruz Treat, and Brixley Sharpe; and several in-laws including a special sister-in-law, Pearl Sharpe. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Gill, Rev. Charles Hutcheson and Dusty Arnold officiating. Interment will follow in Oak View Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Taylor Sharpe, Cody Clifton, Dylan Treat, Victor Perez, Scotty Turner, Allen Turner, Jason Ansley, Daniel Ansley, and Andy Arnold.
Honorary pallbearers will be all her special, non-biological sons and daughters.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Swain Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
