Mary Ann Williamson

Mary Ann Hallman Williamson, 74, of Denton, GA, passed away suddenly following a brief illness on September 17, 2025.

Born on April 2, 1951, in Baxley, GA, Mary Ann was a lifelong resident of the area who deeply cherished her roots. She graduated from Appling County High School in 1969 and, later that year on November 9, married her high school sweetheart, Aaron Williamson, Jr. The two shared 56 years of unwavering love and devotion.

Mary Ann retired from BellSouth, but her true life’s work was her family. She was never happier than when surrounded by the people she loved. Whether tending her garden, decorating for the holidays, playing softball in her younger years, or cheering on her beloved Georgia Bulldogs, Mary Ann brought joy and warmth to everything she did.

She was a devout Christian and a faithful member of Harvest Chapel Church, where she found great strength, joy, and purpose. She had the heart of a servant and a soul full of kindness. Known for her sweet, caring, loving, and funny nature, Mary Ann always put others before herself and found deep fulfillment in helping those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Milton Hallman and Helen Annette Yarborough Hallman Tootle; her brother, Richard Hallman; her sister, Diane Hallman Britt; and nephews Scott Hallman and Carlton Britt.

She is survived by her loving husband, Aaron Williamson, Jr.; daughters and sons-in-law: Lynn & Chris Bazemore of Jacksonville, FL, Tina & Clint Parham of Lyons, GA, and Belinda & Chris Strickland of Baxley, GA; siblings: Michael & Shirley Hallman and Deborah Hallman Rish and Asel Rish; grandchildren: Jourdaun & Matt Eubanks, Christopher Bazemore, Nate & Kiana Bazemore, Kaine Parham, Karsyn Parham, and Jesse Horne; and great-grandchildren: Gabe Eubanks, Madison Eubanks, and Guinevere Bazemore.

She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who loved her dearly: Allen Hallman, Lloyd Ellis, Alice Herrington, Aaron Ellis, Alex Herrington, Nice Herrington, Kara Hallman, Krystal & Rodney McNeal, and Jeremy & Jennifer Britt.

Funeral services will be held at Harvest Chapel Church, 351 Holmesville Ave, Baxley, GA, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. with Bishop Randy Sellers and Pastor Agnes Sellers officiating. Interment will follow in Ten Mile Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Lloyd Ellis, Allen Hallman, Kaine Parham, Christopher Bazemore, Nathaniel Bazemore and Jesse Horne.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Appling County High School Class of 1969.
