Mary Sue Presley

Mary Sue Presley, age 81, of Baxley passed away Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Magnolia Manor Senior Living in Midway.

Mrs. Presley was born on September 6, 1944, in Waycross, Georgia. She was a devoted member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church and held a deep love for her Lord, her church, and her family.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—fishing, creating silly songs to make her grandchildren laugh, and spending peaceful moments swinging on her porch while watching the birds. She will be remembered for her loving spirit, her faith, and the special memories she created with those closest to her. Mrs. Presley was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Music Presley; children, Joey Dwight Presley and Melanie Lynn Tillman; siblings, Edward Nail, Runnell Bloodworth and Ronnie Nail.

Survivors include a special son, Willie (Angie) Tillman, daughters, Belinda (Glenn) Johnson, Carol (Charlie) Williams, and Glenda (Bean) Presley; grandchildren, Jessie (Jennifer) Tillman, Jody (Lyndsey) Tillman, Hailey Medders Ford (Jeffery), Christine (Marcus) Lewis, Preston (Whittney) Gibbs, Jacob (Arica) Johnson, Hope, Jose & Letty Johnson, Katie (Jackson) Thompson, and Sarah (Jake) Thompson; and great-grandchildren, Presley, Jace and Brady Tillman, Tucker and Asher Tillman, Lyndsey and Levi Medders, Raylin and Paisley Youmans, Emma Lewis, Delaney Gibbs, Ellie Johnson and Lily Thompson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. David Barber officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Jessie Tillman, Jody Tillman, Preston Gibbs, Jacob Johnson, Tucker Tillman, Jeffery Ford, Levi Medders and Jace Tillman.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Harmony Baptist Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 483 Baxley, Georgia 31515.
