Reyna Gomez Navarro

Reyna Gomez Navarro, age 58, of Baxley, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at her residence.

Reyna was born on September 7, 1967 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Santana Gomez Navarro. Her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother to her five daughters, who were her pride and joy. She often said that through them she received the sons she never had, cherishing not only her daughters but also the men who became part of her family. Her grandchildren were the sunshine of her life, bringing endless happiness, laughter, and love to her days. Nothing delighted her more than spending time with her family and watching it grow through the generations.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Vicente Gomez, whom she loved deeply; her five cherished daughters, Veranice (Mario) Soto, Liliana (Steward) Morfin, Ruth (Shawn) McIntire, Sara Gomez (Maurice) Hayes and Sandra (Noah) Davidson ; her beloved sixteen grandchildren and one great grandaughter; sisters, Julia, Cleo and Honoria; brothers, Pablo, Paulino, Ostolio, Gustavo, and Francisco, and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her mother and a treasured grandchild, whose memories she carried in her heart throughout her life.

Her legacy of love, strength, selflessness, and devotion to family will continue to bloom in the lives of those she touched, much like the roses she so lovingly tended.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 5, 2026, at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Appling Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers will be Vicente Gomez, Mario Soto, Steward Morfin, Shawn McIntire, Maurice Hayes and Noah Davidson.

Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends in attendance.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 5, 2026 beginning at 1:00 p.m., at Swain Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.

Reyna nació el 7 de septiembre de 1967, hija de los ya fallecidos Sr. y Sra. Santana Gómez Navarro. Su mayor alegría era su familia. Fue una madre dedicada a sus cinco hijas, quienes eran su orgullo y felicidad. Con frecuencia decía que, a través de ellas, recibió a los hijos varones que nunca tuvo, apreciando no solo a sus hijas, sino también a los hombres que llegaron a formar parte de su familia. Sus nietos eran la luz de su vida, llenando sus días de felicidad, risas y amor sin fin. Nada le daba más gusto que pasar tiempo con su familia y verla crecer a través de las generaciones.

Le sobreviven su amado esposo de 42 años, Vicente Gómez, a quien amó profundamente; sus cinco queridas hijas, Veranice (Mario) Soto, Liliana Gómez (Steward) Morfín, Ruth (Shawn) McIntire, Sara Gómez (Maurice) Hayes y Sandra (Noah) Davidson; sus queridos dieciséis nietos y una bisnieta; sus hermanas, Julia, Cleo y Honoria; sus hermanos, Pablo, Paulino, Ostolio, Gustavo y Francisco; así como muchos otros familiares y amigos que la extrañarán profundamente.

Fue precedida en la muerte por su madre y una querida nieta, cuyos recuerdos llevó siempre en su corazón a lo largo de su vida.

Su legado de amor, fortaleza, generosidad y dedicación a la familia continuará floreciendo en la vida de todos aquellos a quienes tocó, tal como las rosas que ella cuidaba con tanto cariño.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo el viernes 5 de junio de 2026 a las 3:00 p.m. en la Capilla de Swain Funeral Home. La sepultura se realizará posteriormente en Appling Memorial Gardens.

Los portadores activos del féretro serán Vicente Gómez, Mario Soto, Steward Morfín, Shawn McIntire, Maurice Hayes y Noah Davidson.

Los portadores honorarios serán los familiares y amigos presentes.

La velación se llevará a cabo el viernes 5 de junio de 2026, comenzando a la 1:00 p.m., en Swain Funeral Home.
