Richard L. Senters

Richard L. Senters, age 70, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at The Pavilion under the care of Hospice of South Georgia.

Mr. Senters was born February 21, 1955 in Norfolk, Virginia and was preceded in death by his parents, William Raymond Senters and Anna Sarah Rice Senters, and a great grandson, Thomas Scott Edmonds. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and the former owner of AWF Rental. Mr. Senters loved his family immensely, especially his grandchildren who affectionately referred to him as “Papa Cutie Pie” and in return he gave each of them nicknames. He was an intellectual man, who enjoyed researching, mysteries, and studying the Bible. He also enjoyed watching wrestling and Nascar.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mary Senters of Baxley; sons, Chad (Wyndy) Senters of Ft. Pierce, Florida and Terry (Sheri) Senters of Baxley; sisters, Diana (Wendell) Cole of Warner Robins and Candy (Curtis) Dykes of Fitzgerald; brothers, Dennis (Toni) Senters of Virginia, Donald Senters of Baxley, and Gregory (Malinda) Senters of Cochran; ten grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.

Mr. Senters’ family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Tonya Fordham, Lynn Hale, Sandy Black and the staff of The Pavilion C-Hall and South Georgia Hospice for the care they provided.
