Robert Otto Crosby, age 85, of Baxley, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at his residence under the care of Comfort Care Hospice.
Mr. Crosby was born October 8, 1933 in Appling County to the late John Henry Crosby and the late Minnie Lee Shipes Crosby. He was a member of Big Oaks Church of God and was a retired Bus Driver and Farmer.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Crosby was preceded in death by his brothers, J.B. Crosby, Ernest Crosby, Jackerl Crosby, Albert Crosby and sisters, Bertha Aldridge and Jennett Crawford.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley Barnes Crosby of Baxley; daughter & son in law, Sherry & Glenn Crummey of Baxley; son & daughter in law, Randy & Bonnie Crosby of Baxley; sisters & brothers in law, Emma Lee & Benny Deloach, Betty & Quinton Osteen, Dorothy Carter and Willene Crosby all of Baxley; sister in law, Wilda Ann Crosby of Baxley; brother in law, Charles Crawford of Heath Springs, SC; Grandchildren, Shannon & Jason Grimes, Ashley & Lance White and Austin & Brooke Crosby and great grandchildren, Allie, Randyn & Rhett Simmons and Sawyer, Thatcher & Guyver White also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. David Deen & Rev. Richard Lewis officiating.
Interment will follow in Satilla Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers will be Robby Barnes, Jerry Barnes, Jeffery Carter, Greg Carter, Wayne Crosby and Henry Crosby.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
