Sandra Stone Suarez, age 72, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 25, 2026. She was born on June 17, 1954 in Appling County, Sandra brought immense warmth, joy, and light into the world. She was a woman defined by her vibrant spirit and an unforgettable, infectious laugh that could effortlessly brighten any room.
Sandra shared 36 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband. Together, they built a life rooted in love, companionship, and shared devotion. Family was the true cornerstone of Sandra’s life. She was happiest when visiting her loved ones.
Sandra found peace and beauty intending to her plants and watching them bloom. She also loved the simple pleasure of a day out shopping, always hunting for the perfect outfit. Her bright energy, generous heart, and beautiful laughter will be deeply missed but forever celebrated.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Velma Callaway Stone, brother, R. L. Stone, and sister, Kathy Stone.
She leaves behind her beloved husband of 36 years, Alfredo Suarez; children, Katie (Matt) Howell of Warner Robins, Colby (Kayla) Mayers of Macon, and Andrew Suarez (Reilly Lerner) of Atlanta; sisters, Brenda (Rick) Berry of Tifton and Lynnette Stone of Jesup, brothers, Mickey (Gay) Stone of Baxley and Stanley Stone of Vidalia; and many nieces and nephews who will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
A funeral service celebrating Sandra’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 28, 2026 in the Chapel of Swain Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Page officiating. Interment will follow in Melton’s Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service.
Active pallbearers will be Chris Berry, Ben Berry, Scotty Stone, Brandon Stone, Blake Stone, Eli Stone, and Maddy Lezert-Ezell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you share a hearty laugh with a loved one or plant something beautiful in your garden in Sandra's honor.
