Virginia Louise Daniels

Virginia Louise Daniels, age 75, of Hazlehurst passed away Friday, July 24, 2026 at her residence under the care of Comfort Care Hospice.

Mrs. Daniels was born December 25, 1950 in Elora, Tennessee to the late Maury Dickson Lancaster and the late Lena Mae Johnson. She worked for Dollar General as a store manager. Mrs. Daniels enjoyed fishing and being outdoors, but her greatest passion was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Henry Daniels, and brother, James Lancaster.

Survivors include her son, Steve (Machelle) Simmons of Hazlehurst; stepdaughter, Gina Daniels; grandchildren, Kayla Simmons, Hart Simmons, Megan Johnson, Ryan Hooper, Jessica Hooper, and King Gillis; and brothers, Sonny Abbott, and Jerry Lancaster. Five great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
