Wilbur Lee "Coot" Sellers

Wilbur Lee “Coot” Sellers, age 91, of Baxley passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at the Pavilion under the care of Comfort Care Hospice.

Mr. Sellers was born on April 3, 1935 in Jeff Davis County to the late George Ernest Sellers and the late Edna Cain Sellers. He was a farmer and member of Altamaha Baptist Church where he enjoyed participating in the Men’s Fellowship. Mr. Sellers loved his church family and neighbors and enjoyed listening to gospel music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Dewitt (Opal) Sellers, Alvin (Betty) Sellers; sister, Bernice McLain; nephew, Leon Sellers; and niece, Glenda Christian.

Survivors include his nephews, Dwain (Susan) Sellers of Baxley; Daren (Stephanie) Sellers of Hazlehurst; nieces, Belinda Sellers, Karen (Buddy) Taylor, and Wilene Kight all of Baxley and Sheri (Micah) Yandall of Hendersonville, TN.

Graveside services will be held Friday, July 24, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak View Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bryant Bishop officiating.

Active Pallbearers will be Michael Sellers, Aryn Sellers, Michael Christian, Brandon Sellers, Cole Taylor and Matthew Hulett.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Staff of Comfort Care Hospice, Staff of Pavilion C-Hall and members of Altamaha Baptist Church.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
