William Grady Bryson “Bryse” Crosby, age 25, of Baxley passed away on Monday, October 26, 2026 at Appling Healthcare after injuries sustained in an accident.
Bryse was born November 30, 2000 in Douglas, Georgia, and was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church. He was a lineman with Pike Electric. Bryse was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting and fishing, and he had a well‑known “always good to have a round” reputation — a sign of his generosity and camaraderie. His love for guns was tied to his love for nature and his desire to protect those he loved.
Above all else, Bryse was a family man. He was a loving son and a devoted brother. But his greatest joy was being a husband and father. His family was his heart and his world.
Survivors include his wife, Gracie Griffis Crosby of Baxley; a son, Cooper Beau Crosby of Baxley; mother, Staci Crosby of Alma; father, Brian (Tina) Crosby of Baxley; sister, Katelynn Crosby of Baxley; brothers, Caleb (Chellsie) Martin and Cayson Martin both of Alma; maternal grandmother, Susan Allen of Alma; paternal grandparents, Raymond & Kathy Crosby and Harry Griffin (Joan Higgins) both of Baxley; parents-in-law, Drew & Anslee Griffis of K’ville also survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 29, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Spring Branch Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Gill, Rev. Rick Brown officiating and a eulogy by Timothy Rainwater. Interment will follow in Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Wayne Co.
Active pallbearers will be Brian Crosby, Caleb Martin, Cayson Martin, Zack Griffis, Suraj Patel, Branden Carpenter, Jordan Martin and Daniel Rojas.
Honorary pallbearers will be Timothy Rainwater, Donte George, Birlen Linn, and the employees of Pike Electric.
A visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Swain Funeral Home.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
